Dr. Carl Vinson Optometrist Dr. Carl Vinson arrived here in Murfreesboro, Tennessee after completing his training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry/The Medical Center in 1994.  It is considered one of the top schools of optometry in the country.  Dr. Vinson graduated one of the top in his class.  Since moving to Murfreesboro, he has practiced in the same location at 401 West College Street which he purchased from another optometrist.  Dr. Vinson is certified in diagnostic pharmaceutical agents, therapeutic pharmaceutical agents, injectibles, and CPR.  He is a member of the American Optometric Association, the Tennessee Optometric Association, Nashville Praise Symphony, and Belle Aire Baptist Church. He is also a past member of the Better Business Bureau, the Rutherford County Chamber of Commerce, the Murfreesboro Noon Rotary Club, and the American Cancer Society.  Dr. Vinson is able do eye exams in Spanish which is greatly appreciated by our Latin American patients. Phyllys Patient Coordinator Have you ever "heard" a smile? You will when you hear Phyllys answer the phone when you call our office. Phyllys has been with us since November 2003. She is our patient coordinator. She is one of the friendly voices you'll hear when you call and one of the smiling faces you'll see when you come in. Amanda Optician Amanda is our optician. She helps in all aspects of the optical area and optical lab. Amanda has a great sense of fashion, and she will help you choose just the right eyewear for your needs. She is also very experienced in educating our patients about the latest options and technological advances in lenses for their glasses. She also makes sure your order arrives as quickly as possible. Amanda runs our on-site finishing lab which reduces the amount of time it takes to process your glasses.
